eBike System

By the end of 2016 we reached an agreement with Ebikemotion® to co-engineer a completely new eBike system for a new generation of light eBikes, based on our first prototypes. In this way, the new Desiknio models are now equipped with battery, motor, motor controller, control unit… jointly developed with Ebikemotion®, and manufactured by this company which conforms to the quality standards of the European automotive industry.

Ebikemotion® is part of a mayor electronic company in the automotive industry (whose customers include Mahle, Mercedes Benz, Renault…) and several factories (for assembling, electronic production and R&D centers) in Spain.



Keeping the style of the first prototypes, the Desiknio Frame is the result of hundreds of hours in engineering and design. It is a perfect combination of the most up-to-date manufacturing technology, like the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milled parts or the double butted hydro formed tubes, with the finest handcrafted work in the TIG welding or the braze-on parts.

CNC Sliding Dropouts

CNC milled from a single block of aluminium, the dropouts are engineered and manufactured to be robust and extra-precise.

Specially designed for the Gates Carbondrive™, the set screws inserted into the sliding dropouts provide the right tension to the belt with mathematical precision. The right dropout has a hidden opening that allows the rear triangle of the frame to be separated for the belt drive.

Tapered Headtube

Tapered headtube for an increased stiffness, cornering precision and stability.

Integrated headset with angular contact bearings, that drop right into the headtube with no cups: lighter and hidden.

Integrated Charging Connector

Due to the misalignment of the downtube (to let the battery be installed/removed), our frame has a reinforcement over the bottom bracket.

The bridge is fully CNC milled from a single block of aluminium, and incorporates the charging connector.

This way, the connector is integrated into the frame, and is easily accessible for charging the inner battery or connecting the optional Water Bottle Battery.

Water Bottle, Fenders and Rear Rack Mounts

In order to keep the clean and minimalist design of the bike, but improve versatility for daily use, we have added some discreet threaded inserts.

Unlike the rivet nuts that you can find in most of the bike frames, which use to unfasten over time exposed to continuous vibrations and loads, we use threaded inserts welded, much more stable and with improved aesthetic.

– Seat Stay M5 inserts, in combination with the Desiknio Removable Bridge, to mount rear rack and fender.

– Seat Tube M5 inserts, to mount water bottle cage or the new 250Wh Water Bottle battery (available from December 2017).

Wheels Hand-Built by Desiknio

We found that the right wheelset for our bike just doesn’t exist… to meet our demanding requirements, we decided to build our own wheels.

Using only carefully selected components, every single wheel is hand-built and finished by the expert hands of our highly experienced master wheel builder.

– Light weight rims forged and cold stamped, Alloy 6106-T6 anodized.

– 19mm inner width, ideal for 28-44mm tyre widths, and Easy Tubeless Ready.

– High grade stainless steel spokes, with black stainless treatment.

– Forged and CNC 6061-T6 heat treated alloy hub, with sealed cartridge bearings

– Ø 15mm thru axle, made in 7075-T6 alloy

iWoc® One, full e-bike control in only one button


Smart and compact eBike control, integrated into the toptube, to turn ON/OFF the bike, change the assist level, or control the lights.

The RBG ring led changes the colour to show the current assist level, the battery level, Bluetooth® connection and warnings.
